The bus should be 1972-76, not 1982, although the plate is around 1982-83. |

It's one of the former London Transport Fleetlines exported secondhand to Hong Kong. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daimler_Fleetline#Hong_Kong |

All Daimler Fleetline DMS in Hong Kong are second-hand, from UK. Some friends of UK should know that the DMS were for London Transport, for one-man operation trial. But the effect was not obvious, and all DMS were replaced by other models of buses. As I know most of DMS buses were sold to other cities and towns of UK, and some were sold to Hong Kong. In 1980s the DMS buses of Hong Kong mainly served on Hong Kong Island, running between Central to Causeway Bay, Ocean Park, Repulse Bay, etc. Since 1990s some DMS buses had started to be withdrawn, and the last one ceased to serve in 1995. |

Funny found from a web page. CZ8775 used as a staff office at a New Territories scrapyard before scrap... http://www.chinamotorbus.com/retire/retire-citybus-d29/ -- Last edit: 2018-12-29 20:35:04 |
