 Paul Newman became a real racing driver after this movie and he did have a major achievement

2nd overall at the 1979 Le Mans 24 hours

likely cos his co-drivers were Rolf Stommelen and Dick Barbour who are ace drivers in the Porsche 935

A very disappointing movie. Even the racing footage isn't particularly impressive, what with most of it being out of focus. Some grotesquely stretched (from 4:3 to 2.35:1) archive footage from Indy 500 doesn't help.

Upgraded to an unimpressive HD and deleted one duplicate.

1. Red is a 1960-1962 (Plymouth) Valiant or 1961-1962 Dodge Lancer; white behind it to the right is firmly a 1961 Dodge Lancer. Green background is a 1955 Chevrolet (Two-Ten?).

You're always welcome to do that with any interesting bonusmobiles that may crop up in my selections, especially since you figured out (long ago, I might add) the numbers in my filenames are timestamps. :)

Alas, it's not (and it's not the Yamaha either). While they look similar, the gas tanks and handlebars don't match (Wagner's has a mirror, missing from this bike) and the exhaust pipe on Wagner's bike curves (if that's the word) downward while it curves upward on this bike.
