Good find. If it is the very same bike, it was stolen earlier, in August 2017, when owner (museum) had financial troubles and stored its things elswhere than usual. However seems most of vehicles in this series were borrowed from different collection/museum, which also has 2 "1000s" from 1936 and 1935 (BTW the stolen one was 1935 too, by what I see now), but unfortunately for both they use the same pic on their site: http://www.muzeum-motoryzacji.com.pl/pl/eksponaty/motocykle/ Anyway can be one of them too IMO. Despite today commonly all bikes of this type made between 1932-39 are named "Sokół"/"Sokół 1000", this name was used only since 02.1936 (it was renamed after intro. of Sokół 600 RT), earlier it was "CWS M-111". /vehicle_252920-CWS-M-111-1933.html -- Last edit: 2018-04-17 23:24:59 |

I'll bow to superior (local) wisdom for the I.D. Regarding the theft, very convenient it was stolen at a time of financial problems, strange how that happens a lot ![]() |
