The only Vivaish joke I know goes back to the early 1980s when I was a happy young archaeologist setting out on a career digging holes in Scottish islands, and we started getting reports of a volunteer archaeology group in South Wales who in their own time began investigating a group of burial mounds along the ridge at the top of their valley. They were given permission to carefully dig out two of the smaller ones and discovered well preserved Bronze Age cremation burials, so with encouragement from the Welsh heritage agency applied for grants to fund the full excavation of the biggest cairn in the group, hoping to find something spectacular. However it proved completely empty apart from a crushed Viva at the bottom.
