Looks like a Barkas to me? And is that a Skoda behind it? |

Sorry, but I don't think it's a Barkas |

Wow, nice find! |

Hmmm, it looks a little different: on the main picture the headlights seem aligned to the middle of the grille; on DatsunZ's link the headligths are higher, with smaller lamps below. |

Could be,that of photo linked,a following,upgraded model of pristine IMV 1600(body matches,but if that of documentary was a mini-bus,while that of link--1974 m.y.,as written into page's file--was a fire van) |

Agree for IMV 1600 PS IMV was the same Make that builds in Slovenia also the well-known Adria caravans and campers(en plus, since Sixties',the Novo Mesto plants of IMV got license to build some Renault vehicles under license, like R4,R5,Express,e.g.) -- Last edit: 2007-02-14 21:22:14 |

If IMV 1600(Renault R 16 engine-powered)was 1972 debut year, not 1963(in 1963 was still named IMV 1000,due at DKW 1-litre 2-stroke 3 cyl. engine);I'm sure that's a 1600 'cause that evolution had 2 chrome mustaches at middle of grille, with at centre the logo"1600"--the chrome mustaches are in fact visibles but if photo was blurred) |
