Probably assembled by Mahindra & Mahindra. They did not start making right hand drive Jeeps until 1968. http://cj3b.info/World/India2.html |

Yep. CJ3B, I think. (1954-1968 for the left hand drive.) (Oh, you gave the good link, Gag.) -- Last edit: 2015-10-20 20:22:15 |

Mmh, what did I mean? Link to "www.cherokee-fr.com" Well, while saying "1954", I meant "1954", on the basis of what I read on the afore mentionned link, self-confirmed (at least, there is inner coherence) on this page: http://www.cherokee-fr.com/~jeepfamily/Asie/Indes/MahCJ3B/MahCJ3B.htm |

@ DidierF: As long as it is just a "probably assembled by Mahindra", as said by Gag Halfrunt, as the CJ-3B was unveiled in 1953, and given the fact that you already admited that cherokee-fr.com may include some errors, it would sound logical to keep the unveiling date of the Willys model, all the more as it is the name visible in the grille ![]() |

I can't find anything assertive about the beginnings of Mahindra CJ-3B except the page I linked which says "1954". Everything else, including the dedicated CJ3B.info page, speaks of "early 60s". So… mentionning the first production year in general? Yep, after all, maybe. |
