| ◊ 2007-02-02 09:38 | Judging from the lenght of the hood I would agree with Skid that this is a New Yorker ( C 39N) on the 127.5 inch wheelbase chassis.As the movie dates from 1951 and the tires are whitewalls 700 X 15 inch ( as on the eights) and the wheel covers fully chromed it is indeed a 1948 car.Whitewalls became again more readily available in 1948 , most former cars were equipped with white plastic rims. |
