It's in fact a 1989 Mirov. It was created by a special effects designer called Jon Bunker, based on a UVA M6GTR. Two of these were built for a UK insurance company (Norwich Union) TV commercial and one was fitted with a VW Beetle engine for promotional purposes. In 1994, one of the cars was bought by Brian Thompson who fitted it with a Renault 30 V6 engine. It's now road-legal and named Mirov II. |
