The driver's car through the film - always seen through his "eyes" ...![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() .... except for this bit (when it probably shouldn't have been included) ![]() ![]() I had totally forgotten that they made a Ventora Estate - so had to look it up to check. Introduced Sept 73, discontinued Jan 76. Very rare (just like contemporary Humber Sceptre Estate, Cortina 2000E Estate ) - upgrade of previous also very rare Victor 3300SL estate (we have one FD, and there were only 693 FE versions) with full Ventora features inside and out apart from vinyl roof. Can't find a production figure, but probably again only a few hundred. -- Last edit: 2015-07-17 12:44:56 |

Yes - too precise to be useful. May have been one of the first UK speedos with km/h - UK wasn't really interested in all this Johnny Foreigner stuff until it joined the EU in 1973 - in those days it was called the Common Market which seemed to us Brits like a nice friendly concept for mutual benefit. |

Vauxhall had UK speedos with secondary km/h graduations going back to the Viva HB at least the mid-1960s. I guess cross-channel holidays had something to do with it but also a cheap styling upgrade to the instruments is more likely.![]() -- Last edit: 2015-07-17 11:47:23 |
