Christine was a two-tone red with white hardtop 1958 Plymouth Fury Custom. She was heavily modded and they seemed to put the Plymouth Belvedere with the Plymouth Fury. Plymouth didn't have the gold "V" on the 1958 model and red was not availible in 58.

Errr, red was available in '58, but officially not on the Fury (have '58 color chip sheet). All '58 non-Furys with a V8 had a golden V tacked to the radiator grille. According to the book by Stephen King, 'Christine' was a special order Fury, which is plausible, because Chrysler Corp. allowed you to special order your cars in that period. Thus a factory red and white Fury would have been theoretically possible. No record exists that such a car was actually built, despite there are records of special order (and special color) 58 Furys and some of them are known to survive.

Anyway, winger is right, this here is a '59 Plymouth, not a '58.

First off, How do we tell if this is a Fury, Savoy or Belvedere, all are identical in the front. And how do we tell this is a 58 or 59? The Fury and Belvedere are the same except the Fury is smaller.

It says fury on the bonnet.

 Oh. Well. I see. I guess it is a Fury. And how do you tell the year? And where did the "V" go?

The emblem on the bonnet says Plymouth, not Fury. The Fury emblems are to be found on the rear wings of the 59 models.
And the "V" went to trunk this year.

So it could still be a Savoy or Belvedere...

All 50's Plymouths look the same from the front! It could be a Plaza, Savoy, Belvedere or Fury!

But '58s don't have the dip between the top of the headlights.

Exactly. No, it's definitively a 1959 Plymouth. But there is not much way to tell which model. It could be a Fury, or something else. It's not written "Fury" on the bonnet, but "Plymouth", as in all series in 1959.
