I guess this is a Series A Meteor, like this one - https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/17358/lot/443/ I presume if we are to be pedantic it is a Vincent-HRD as all were up to 1950. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vincent_Motorcycles - but I would agree that the use of Vincent for all of the company's products is much simpler.
