Yes, this is a Jeepney, and since most bodies are custom built, it is probably a modified CJ-2A or CJ-3. |

Many Jeepney were rebuilt in aluminium sheet body(rust-free)on original dies,like specialists such Senior Roques of Manila or Esguerra Motors;those Makers had also redone some Jeep MB 38 in aluminium body,that of Roques was Toyota-powered and named Boy;that done by Esguerra(was attempted to sold it in Italy;in fact ws tested on an Italian off-road magazine)was Isuzu-powered and got squared headlights on classic MB 38 body;but those weren't taxi vehicles,that,while,preserve only something of originary jeep,but lenghth,wheelbase,roof and especially the engine wasn't no more that of originary vehicle(usually fits or Jap or German diesels) |
