The Rolls-Royce Springfield factory did not build the Phantom II or III. The US version of the Phantom I was built from 1922 to 1931. Since this is an American film, with a left hand drive car is it fair to say that this is most Likely a Springfield PI with Tourer body, and the most popular coachbuilder would have been Brewster. Finally, the Phantom III was not introduced until 1936.

This picture, with the Royce, Jean Harlow and the Borzoi dog is so very much of its time. A marvellous time to live, if you were not one of the unemployed looking for your next meal.
