This is a 1947-1952 "late" styled John Deere Model A (pressed steel frame.) The tight turning radius of these two-cylinder John Deere tractors was achieved through the rear wheels having individual brakes, in which one could be pressed to turn a very tight circle. The two front wheels being close together was the most common configuration, often called a "row crop" front. |
