From the side trim, it's a 1957 Ford Country Sedan Station Wagon

Could this be Canadian sourced?

If you are suggesting it's the Canadian Meteor, it's not. The '57 Meteor had unique side trim and a wrap around "grille" trim on the front corner. The Meteor make was essentially a badge engineered Ford sold at Mercury dealers, and was a separate make. Canadian Fords were basically the same as American Fords.

I understand what you mean, caprice_96. It is just due to the tariff tax law we have it in USA, New Zealand get cheaper import from Canada instead.

No, I knew what you meant. I was just trying to say it's not the Meteor (which was Canadian built), and that I don't think there is anyway to tell if it is a Canadian built Ford vs a US built Ford as they were basically the same.

This car should be listed as a 1957 Ford Country Sedan.

And for clarification on the earlier discussion, here is an ad for a Canadian 1957 Ford Fairlane 500. As you'll see, there is no significant difference from the American built model:

Here is a 1957 Meteor, also Canadian built, sold only at Canadian Lincoln-Mercury Dealers:

I think a lot of non-Canadians don't understand that the Ford of Canada sold Canadian conventional Fords at Ford dealers(just like the American models) along with Meteors (rebadged Fords) at Lincoln-Mercury dealers. Canadian Mercury dealers needed a low priced car to survive and this was the reason that the Meteor was marketed. Canadians tended to purchase more
lower priced cars than Americans.
