2006-10-08 12:25 | Yes, these are Cadillac M41 'Walker Bulldog', delivered to the Danish Army in 1962, updated by Falck Schmidt of Odense in 1969-71. The FMC M113 was first delivered in 1962-64 and updated, again by Falck Schmidt, in 1972-73. Actually FMC stands for Food Machinery Corporation, later changed to Food Machinery and Chemical Corporation (FMC Corp.). The name is not a twisted sense of humor ('How to make minced meat on the battlefield.') but originates from the company's roots of crop spraying machines. |
