Thumb #1 & #2: 1957 grille (they closed the hood, on thumb #2?). + the (slightly visible) two 1957 humps on the hood + the 1957 oval rust shape of the (missing) fender emblem in main picture. ⇒ 1957 Chevrolet Task Force 3100. -- Last edit: 2014-09-14 22:41:48 |

Says 57 in the window too, wonder how I missed that? Seems like it's spelled Task-Force with a hyphen according to the official sale literature: Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" -- Last edit: 2014-09-14 23:23:10 |

Task-Force (or Task Force) is now given as the generic name, not as a complement. Cf. the discussion on the forum. (I reported the hyphen information) -- Last edit: 2014-09-15 16:28:48 |

You mean that it's written on the windshield? I just noticed it after you gave the information ![]() But I'm always suspicious with that kind of writing: I once saw a Lincoln Continental Mk V labelled as a Cadillac by organizers in a Classic cars meeting: the owner didn't noticed it and all visitors where reading it without reaction. Some were even talking of "the Cadillac" with admiration. ![]() It acknowledge it happened in a small town in France, and Lincoln Continental Mk V are not hat common in France, but the power of the written word is impressive. In both ways... -- Last edit: 2014-09-15 16:56:01 |

This pickup has obviously the shortest wheelbase of the Task-Force trucks line (114"/2.90 m), when compared to the one of the 3200 model (123¼"/3.13 m). So as 3100 pickup, it has the 3104 Chevrolet internal code. ⇒ 1957 Chevrolet Task-Force 3100 [3104] |
