We know this is a Commander as the only models that had chromed gravel shields in '47/'48 were Champion/Commander convertibles and Regal Deluxe trimmed Commanders. The bright rocker trim also shows this is a Regal Deluxe model. A good front or rear view would reveal the precise year. -- Last edit: 2012-05-09 18:14:31

Commander 57 ◊ 2012-05-09 19:51	No, it is not. The car in the thumbnail is a '47 Champion per grille and hood medallion (and it has an incorrect set of extra bumper guards). It is also not a Starlight Coupe as it has a divided windshield. (All Starlight Coupes from '47 on had one-piece windshields.) -- Last edit: 2012-05-09 19:57:33
