Probably NZ assembled - production list in /vehicle.php?id=372839 comments. I go for 1973+ 2500 TC from visible trim; also it was the largest production. |

This car is in fact a 1978 2500S. I know since I sold the car to the movie. They changed the wheels and painted it red. I can see the dent on the driver side of the bumper courtesy of a drunk parking exercise. I guess the initial killer elite was made in 1975 and probably set a little earlier, so they had to make the car look a bit older than it is. |

Or the other explanation is they had the red UK car filmed in South Wales - seen in /vehicle_449124-Ford-Capri-1969.html - and had to make the Aus car look like it. Looks as if they removed and did not refit the black 2500S trim on boot and rear panel. |

There is no connection between this film and that one apart from having similar titles. |
