24-01, 1977+ if DDR really imported cars alredy made as taxis in USSR.

:think: Hmm, the Volga ("Wolga" in German) was indeed a common taxi in the DDR (I took a ride in one in Eisenach in late 1988), but not all of them had been in the USSR-origin taxi-version. But this doesn't exclude that.

Coarse 1960ies technology (it was an older 24-model). And, if you see the total size of the car, impudent minimal space for the passengers. Incredible narrow inside, compared with other cars with this size.

A similar astonishment I had, when I've seen the 1977 Moskvich of the fellows, I've visited there. The spare tires was placed, that nearly the half of the trunk was wasted, and involountary I've pushed the trunklid upwards, because it opens not far - but this was all. :/
