2006-07-19 16:59 | It's actually a DB4GT. In slow motion a standard DB4 (without cowled headlamps) is seen shooting over the bridge. Matt Hurley |
2006-09-22 13:24 | Separate listing to be added...... Rear view -- Last edit: 2006-09-22 13:25:53 |
2006-09-25 09:58 | I'm tempted to say that this is a DB5. |
2006-09-25 10:13 | DB4 Series V and DB5 have the same body. Some stuff can differentiate both models, but they are located inside the car. Based on the air opening of the bonnet, I would say it's indeed a DB4 GT (http://news.caradisiac.com/IMG/jpg/Aston-Martin-DB4-GT-4.jpg). To be confirmed by peers -- Last edit: 2006-09-25 10:13:57 |
2006-09-25 11:29 | I'm no expert but from the rear views shown on AstonMartins.com, the cars are different for the rear-lights (separate for the DB5 and combined as in the movie for the DB4GT) plus a different number plate light housing and the addition of a badge for the DB5.... -- Last edit: 2006-09-25 11:30:20 |
2006-10-05 10:45 | It's not a DB5 : a) DB5 didn't come out till 1963(film was shot in 1961) b) The DB5 had front bumper over riders, the DB4GT didn't It's a DB4GT Also I've seen that car for sale "41 DPX" , came up at auction a few years ago , advertised as a DB4GT from the film :-) Matt |
2007-06-22 23:25 | I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of Peter Sellers' own cars. He was well known for being a car 'nut', changing them almost as often as he changed wives.... |
2007-08-02 22:29 | Is this one the DB5 or another view of the DB4?![]() (picture from Uri) In first case it could replace the main one, which has a bad ratio -- Last edit: 2007-08-02 22:31:38 |
2007-08-02 22:32 | It's the same DB4 GT. |
2007-08-02 22:51 | Why did I type DB5? I wanted to mean the DB4 GT Well, I 'll rather keep it in comments and resize propertly the current main one. |
2007-08-02 23:04 | Perhaps it was because they are very similar at first glance. These type of headlights and a one-piece bumper make immediately think of a DB5. |
