It's a 1938 Plymouth sedan but if you look closely at the center of the above three pictures (where she's talking to the station attendant), you can see the vent window in the front door. That makes it a P-6 Deluxe - Roadking was the cheaper model and didn't have the vents. "Later car "magically" transformed into: /vehicle_384058.html" Apparently such lack of continuity was fairly common. One of the more famous ones is in "High Sierra" where the Plymouth coupe driven by 'Mad Dog' Earle (played by Humphrey Bogart) changes from a 37 to a 38, back to a 37, then back to a 38 again. Even better, when he's released from an Indiana prison supposedly in 1932, he heads for California in a 1937 car with 1940 Illinois plates! |
