She is taken by the authorities and placed into the custody of a young couple in the nearby town who are biologically unable to have children. Portraying the title character of Sooner is Susan Deer in her sole acting credit. Also the film debut of Michael Gross who would later become known as Graboid hunter Burt Gummer! Cloris Leachman's role in this film seems to predict her casting as the moonshine-making Granny in the Beverly Hillbillies movie. Set in the 1930s. Airdate: June 18th, 1975 |
