He comments that it's remarkably similar to North Korean architecture of the same period. The crew put a quotation from Kim Il Sung on the roof - "A soldier's life belongs to the Party" - which sparked bizarre rumours that the univeristy had been taken over by radicals or North Korean paratroopers.
