Something puzzling me: this front is 1963 model not 62! ... though the film is dated in 1962 and obviously in winter time during first month of this year!... there's a trick or what?

Regroup this one that seems to be rather a DS19

DynaMike wrote This is the only picture of this car? I think I can see a shiny strip under the bumper, which would make this rather a DS (that has lost its headlight bezels).

DAF555 wrote I´m afraid it is, all the accident pictures are stills shown during the duel between the DS 19 and the Peugeot 404.

fsebus wrote Voilà ce qu' on appelle une déesse coiffée au poteau... Quelle idée, quand même, de s' en prendre à EDF, alors qu' il y avaient six troënes à côté...
Après on s' étonne que la voiture électrique ne progresse pas...

DAF555 wrote So, better to add this as thumb on the other DS?

IMDb may be wrong with 1962 since the earliest release date is 1964.

West Germany June 1964 (Berlin International Film Festival)
Finland 4 December 1964
France 2 February 1966

Sixcyl is right, the bumper belongs to a 1963+ DS. The crashed car has the older bumper, though.

Indeed many site says the film was shot in 1962, but released later in 1964 (for the International film festival of Berlin). In fact, it must have been shot in the latest month of 1962, in november or december that would explain those snowy landscapes in the Pas de Calais. Then some of the vehicules seen are brend new year-model 1963 (DS and 404)

Most online sources will copy IMDb. French Wikipedia says 1964, so does Le Soir. Link to "portfolio.lesoir.be"

Older sources:
The World Encyclopedia of Film (1972) says 1963.
The Illustrated Guide to Film Directors (1983) says 1963.
French Cinema since 1946, Volume 2 by Roy Armes (1976) says 1962-4.

Normally IMDb takes the first release date, not year of filming, I don't know why not here. IMO it would be better to list it as 1964.
