Hmm, the combination of old bumpers and new, higher positioned front indicators would mean, that it's an 1971 -only 1971- model, but this one is surely based on a Mexiacan or Brazilian version (size and numbers of side windows, vents on the back sides), so maybe from a different years, as they weren't in Germany. to South America: does anyone knows more details? |

origin Germany is wrong! See the air intakes in the back - it's an orign Brazilian T1 with a T2a body! Which makes rljuna2's question about the RHD really interesting - so had VW do Brazil also built RHD-cars? |

Ooops, my bad ![]() Ingo is correct, Brazilian origin due to T2 face with T1 body. So, 1976 or later. |

@rljuna2: stay cool, you aren't wrong It looks really RHD-ish, so we have indeed the question, if there were Brazilian made VW's for RHD-countries. When we see this specific car, it's obvious. Or had it happen really, that origin Brazilian VW's were assembled (maybe by CKD) in other countries on the world? |

Hmmm, the 181 "Thing" was assembled in Indonesia, the late Mexican version. Is anything known about other VW's assembled there? |

I can't see a steering wheel but wipers and door mirror look LHD arrangement. |

On one side Indonesia is a left-traffic-country, on the other we have more LHD-cars in this movie: /vehicle_281920-Volkswagen-Karmann-Ghia-Cabriolet-Typ-14-1958.html As it seems, the VW 1200 and the Fiat 125, too. |
