for the U.S. this would have been a Catalina (lowest trim available) - from 1977 i believe based on the grille. only the "fully dressed" cars got the Parisienne badge. i know Canada had different, and differently applied model names... http://www.antiquecar.com/index/listings/page23191.htm |

Yes, 1977 Catalina, if American model. First year for this body. |

I am pretty sure that we can assume that a car with an Ontario plate in a movie filmed in Ontario is a Canadian model... |

agreed... and the "Parisienne" model was offered in Canada from '58-'86, but was a Catalina model offered in Canada also, or would even the base cars like this one have carried the Parisienne name for the Canadian market? |

Base cars were badged Laurentian in Canada, so I am willing to bet this is one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontiac_Laurentian |

I thought about that also taxiguy but wiki doesn't mention Laurentian after 1970 |

They were still available after 1970. I knew someone who used to have a '78 Laurentian. |

Taillights with thick color coordinate divider indicates 1979 version... By the way with the late model for Canadian variant, nice find |
