It looks like it was a 1955 Ford Fairlane. http://images2.justcarsites.net/~streetsideclass/T-128208-1sm.jpg -- Last edit: 2014-02-26 02:18:30 |

Side trim seems to be missing so it's hard to determine if it's a Fairlane, Customline or Mainline. Headlight bezels can't be seen so we can't use them to identify it either. I can't tell what kind of hood badge it has (if there is any?). I can't tell if it has trim on the drip rail or not but even if it's lacking the trim it could have been removed too. It does look like there is trim around the wind shield which would rule out the Mainline. That would leave us with Fairlane and Customline but I don't know what else that could tell them apart. You can compare the Fairlane, Customline and Mainline in these pictures from the official sales brochure: http://www.oldcarbrochures.org/NA/Ford/1955_Ford/1955_Ford_Brochure/1955-Ford-07 http://www.oldcarbrochures.org/NA/Ford/1955_Ford/1955_Ford_Brochure/1955-Ford-09 http://www.oldcarbrochures.org/NA/Ford/1955_Ford/1955_Ford_Brochure/1955-Ford-10 -- Last edit: 2014-02-26 03:12:49 |

I can see the trim around the door window still and rear window still making this Ford Customline version. In other words, there is a trim at the bottom of the B-pillar. |

But Fairlane have that trim too, no? |

But, I don't see the trim around the B-pillar as you can see at the Fairlane series ![]() |

I'm sorry but I'm a bit lost here, I don't really understand what kind of trim you are talking about. Can you draw an arrow on the pictures in the above links to show me? |

I'd guess we're talking about the trim on the drip rail but as I said above; it's hard to tell if it's there or not. It could even been removed or painted over. But I'd guess we could settle with a Customline. Next question is what kind of bodytype it is. -- Last edit: 2014-03-01 07:23:49 |
