With the side trim a Chevette 'GL' or 'GLS'. The Kadett was also sold in the UK at the time, but front or rear not visible to say it was the Opel. |

Doesn't the black (plastic?) air intake indicate a later version? @Sunbar, I think the dashboard with the big instrument cluster (which is visible here) was reserved to the Chevette. -- Last edit: 2010-01-02 13:21:58 |

Good spot! I found it on the 1981 version. Edit: and by then there was no Kadett [C] anymore. -- Last edit: 2010-01-02 13:27:29 |

GL confirmed as the GLS was discontinued in 1978. The raised side mouldings were introduced 1979 on the GL. October 1978 - GL 4 door saloon model introduced...with sports type alloy wheels and additional bright trim around the windows. GLS saloon discontinued. September 1979 - All models revised with flush fitting headlamps, restyled seats, front door pockets and, on GL models only, protective side mouldings. source: http://retro.chevettes.com/history.html |
