Since 1970,lasted until 1978(since 1977 was available also with gasoline Audi 2-litre engine's option) PS Was inspired at AMC AMX III 1968 circa prototype(practically an Hornet 2-doors without trunk) |

Used to own one exactly the same fire engine red colour 1986 to 1992 - in Germany! She was absolutely basic with front bench seat and manual three-speed on the floor. Did very well in European traffic and economical,too. Took the family across the Alps to Italy with luggage on the roof no problem. Wonder where she is now. Best car I ever had. |

Was it officially imported? Was there ever an remarkable import of AMC-cars to Germany? I only can remember a very few Pacer, but they all had Dutch or Belgian plates.  |
