1957 Plymouth " Taxi Special" 4 door sedan. It was based on the Plymouth Plaza series KP-30 with a certain number of modifications aimed at taxifleet operation. |

The Taxi Special didn't become it's own model until 1960. This car here is a Plaza. |

I'm thinking this is a '58 as it looks like the taillights do not run up the fins as they do in '57. The chrome spear on the side looks like Savoy trim. 1958 Savoy's had chrome trim along the front fender at that level but did not in '57. I would go with 1958 Savoy. (The fact that the car is a taxi is not relevent as the movie makers simply got a period car and transformed it.
