1969 Chevrolet Impala convertible. |

That's an odd front-end for a 1969 Impala... or for that matter, any Impala from the 1960's. |

I agree with Ddey65.. There is no air intake under the bumper, the ends of the bumper are wrong and the windshield wipers are exposed (not covered by the rear of the hood). |

No confirmation yet that this is an Impala convertible from 1969? Compared with these the main picture shows a length of chrome trim on the front edge of the hood not seen on the '69 Impala and the rear bumper is lower. Its possibly a four-door convertible - either there is an extra rear door handle or its the trim on the side? /vehicle_205681-Chevrolet-Impala-1969.html /vehicle_22082-Chevrolet-Impala-1969.html Not sure its a GM product at all - can anyone confirm that it is? The car looks older that 1969 - about 1966 I would say. Set the model to 'unknown' I think. -- Last edit: 2009-01-31 14:33:58 |

Rear fenders style looks like chevrolet's late 60's b-body hood & grill style barely look's like full size Mercury. could it be ??? an Holden (gm's Australian division) sourced from late 60's chevrolet b-body ???? from my north-americain point of view, it's sould not be listed as a chevrolet at all !!!! -- Last edit: 2009-01-31 11:55:16 |

If were talking GM hybrid marques, what about Beaumont? /vehicle.php?id=8710 -- Last edit: 2009-01-31 13:11:31 |

make sense but Beaumont as a smaller chassis this car looks like having tne side shape of late 60's b-body chevrolet & front fenders and hood sheet metal of buick or olds no badge visible or readable at all !!!! -- Last edit: 2009-01-31 13:59:38 |

I almost thought it was a Buick Riviera from the late-1960's with the headlights down, but they didn't make any Buick Riviera convertibles in the '60's. |

The windshield wipers look to be of the symmetrical type, so they sweep both towards the centre. If it was a GM-USA car that would be before 1965 I think. If made in Canada, South Africa or Australia it could be later. |

Oldsmobile front end |

I see something on the US driver's side of the grille, but it's pretty faint. That was part of the reason I thouhgt it was a Riviera. |

Either it's a heavily customized American car of some sort (Lincoln was the only American car manufacturer making 4 door convertibles in the '60s), or it's some uncharacteristically huge European car. I agree on the sides of the car resembling a GM full-sizer, I'd say from 1965 or 1966. -- Last edit: 2009-01-31 21:55:54 |

I think that it is a 1966,67,68 or 69 mercury marauder -- Last edit: 2009-02-19 06:21:01 |

I think the left side and rear quarter remind me of a 1965/67 Impala, the grill looks computer modified |

It is a 1969 Chevy Impala a 1964 Lincoln continental or a 1966 Mercury park lane. |

I've solved at least part of the mystery. The grille, headlights, and front bumper are from a 1962 Oldsmobile. The car they have been crudely grafted onto remains a mystery to me. I think it's a four-door with the roof cut off because I see two door handles, possibly an Oldsmobile from later on the '60s. |

Maybe a 1969 Chevrolet Impala sedan with the roof cut off and the front from a 1962 Oldsmobile and a different hood the faint logo on the US drivers side of the grill looks like a Ford logo. |

The grill and headlights in it makes me think of a 1969-1971 Chrysler |

I sat through this movie on YouTube just to see this car. Although it's hard to see in this picture, the car has "Oldsmobile" script on the leading edge of the hood. Based on the rest of the car, I believe it's a 1965 Oldsmobile 88, with the 1962 Oldsmobile front pieces that CougarTim specified. |
