I believe CARAVELLE was lettered on the front panel and Floride had the side air scoops so to me this is a Floride. |

Living in Spain, you would know better than I but from scrolling the web it seems Caravelles had the letters and Florides had the vents in front of the rear wheels. C'est la vie. |

By the air-intake on the sides (and other details) this car has been built between 1959 and early 1962, so 1961 is uite probable. The name Caravelle came in April 1962 for the four-seater coupe version, but then the convertible was still a Floride S. Since 1964 both coupe and convertible were called Caravelle (and later Caravelle S), and indeed, those had their name spelled on the front. AFAIK only for the US market the early Florides were called Caravelle. So only if the car was imported via the USA it would be a Caravelle... |
