More Sedan than Coupé?

Absolutely. Still very often 2-door sedans are listed as coupés

Bluebird played under 'Datsun' brand on Japanese market also. 'Nissan' brand was reserved for upper class cars.

Watched this movie the other night. The Datsun is a stand-in for the Skyline in the car bomb scene.

This is the weirdest thing ever. The 2-door car in the main pic is supposed to be the Skyline - but if you look in the thumbnail in Jale's comment showing the actual explosion, that clearly shows a 4-door car (look at the door going over the rear wheelarch). So they didn't even blow up the 2-door '65 Bluebird.

LOL, I just saw the picture on Godzilla v Gigan, and saw that it was used again here as a stand-in for the Skyline. It's like the ITC production white Jaguar Mark I that goes over a cliff and used repeatedly on their shows, first The Baron, and then an barage of others. Had to get their money's worth, even if it was an old wreck already. Heck, that stock footage of the Jaguar was even used on Saturday Night Live in the 1990s for sketches of "Toonces the Driving Cat". I wonder if this Bluebird had as much fame in Japan as that Jaguar got?

^ Given that, as far as we know, this explosion was used only twice, and the white Jaguar was used at least a dozen times, I'm gonna say no.
