How you can tell it's a LSX? I say a LGX rather, based on the looks. Technically by those two aforementioned trim names, it's indeed a long-wheelbase [F80] model by the rear length; although didn't watch the film (technically, I don't do horror stuffs) in sight-unseen, I've persuaded this by using those plot-telling videos on YouTube and those behind-the-scenes-centric shorts on TikTok and Instagram, where these videos show this vehicle's rear length clearly, which helped me to better quick response this.

At least I provide an example short I've found; this TikTok post from one of this movie's production companies.

Plate is borrowed, returns a Peugeot 505.

This is an LGX as it could be discerned by the full chrome grille, painted trunk handle, chrome mirrors and foglamps.

Here are the main differences of trim between 2002-2004 Kijangs:

SX/LX: New front fascia with plastic grille, black plastic door handle, black plastic trunk handle and mirrors, sidefacing 3rd row seats, full plastic grille no reflector, no rear wiper, steel rims and no foglamps.

SSX/LSX: Reflectors, chrome outer grille with plastic inner part, no rear wiper, no foglamps, colour-keyed door handle and mirrors, hubcaps and front facing 3rd row seats.

SGX/LGX: Chrome door handles and mirrors, colour-keyed trunk handle, optional side plastic moulding, rear wiper, alloy rims, chrome exhaust tip, foglamps and full chrome grille.

Strange trunk badging positions; 'KIJANG' badge on the left, while trim badge on the right. In reality back when these rolled out from the showroom, the correct placements for the badges is the opposite way like this ('KIJANG' badge on the right; trim badge on the left), something tells me this car was either previously crashed or its original paint was restored-by-respray (where whatever which workshop have resprayed this, forgot to memorize its original trunk badging placement). Techincally, you're indeed seeing it wrong; from what I can see in my side, that trim badge actually says 'LGX' than 'LSX'.

Actually, correct full variant name is 1.8 LGX because the additional smaller badge below the trim name, I believe indeed closely read '1.8 EFi' in that thumbnail you've posted there. 2.0 would've read '2.0 EFi' and 2.4 would've read '2.4D', which neither of those two matched the one shown in that thumbnail. [KF82] is the official code for long-wheelbase models with the 1.8-litre 7K-E petrol option, based on Wikipedia's statement in this vehicle's dedicated article (at the moment, there's no full table section of all engine options and their dedicated chassis codes for each generation provided in that said article, neither with the infoboxes).

Yes! I can finally confirm the above that this is indeed a 1.8L LGX and not a 2.0L car.

For 2000-2004, the 4th gen received upgraded cosmetics and new added features, but the most important part we will be talking today is the engine. EFI was available in both 1.8L (7K), and 2.0L (1RZ-E) for the SSX, LSX, SGX, LGX and for Krista, a only the 1RZ-E and 2.4L 2L diesel engines were available.

However, 1.8L and 2.0L LGX and SGX cars feature various differences. But most importantly, we'll talk about the 2002-2004 vehicles.

For 2002-2004, LGX and SGX featured chrome door handles and mirrors, colour-keyed trunk handle, optional side plastic moulding, rear wiper, alloy rims, chrome exhaust tip, foglamps and chrome grilles.

1.8L LGX and SGX models feature all the above, except it does not feature body side moulding with chrome, extra chromed grille and rear chrome plate garnish.

For the 2.0L engined LGX and SGX models, it features additional body side moulding with chrome, extra chromed grille and rear chrome plate garnish.

Our Kijang does feature the body side moulding, however...it is missing every other thing from the 2.0L cars. Therefore, this should be a 2002-2004 Kijang 1.8L LGX.
