Could this be Morris Minor? |

It has a Morris badge. So Minor or Oxford? I believe it's a Minor because it doesn't have a split with kederstrip (is that the correct name for it?) along the rear wings. The one to the left is a 1951-53 Ford Zephyr Six [EOTTA]. -- Last edit: 2025-09-06 19:55:31 |

RMY was issued by Middlesex County Council in October 1939 for War Department armoured vehicles. When the system was changed to the better known post war series for MoD, the entire RMY series was reissued to normal vehicles This was between September 1952 and May 1953. The car in question is definitely a Morris Minor, but whether Series MM or Series II is difficult as the last Series MM two door saloon was made in February 1953. |

Glass's says the reissued RMY series was "allocated in blocks". As far as I can tell. most A-I-B series were front-loaded with most numbers issued early in the listed date range, with only a few stragglers in the final months. So normal assumptions about a steady linear progress through the numbers aren't reliable.. So I'd go for a 52 MM. |
