The truck in the second thumbnail isn't the same one as in the main picture or the first thumbnail. It has a panoramic windshield, but I can't see anything else about it. IIRC the main character, played by Jack Lemmon, is a strip cartoonist who draws his strip from real life. This machine figures in one of his stories and is shown in the cartoon he draws as making the sound 'gloppitta gloppitta'. It makes that sound in the film, too, though I think it's voiced by an actor and mixed with some mechanical sound effects. |
