Is that really a firetruck? It looks more like a simple pickup used by firemen Like this one: /vehicle_696785-Land-Rover-Santana-1300.html -- Last edit: 2025-01-27 08:58:59 |

No, it could be a pumper. /vehicle_173089-Land-Rover-Santana-1300.html https://pics.imcdb.org/0is508/vlcsnap111029ma9.9949.jpg In the context of the film (a bus driver sets out to prove that a bus can drive up the narrow road to his village), this is probably the only fire truck that the firefighters think can climb up the hill and reach the village. -- Last edit: 2025-01-27 12:01:17 |

Land Rover Santana 1300 Forward Control was 1967+ local version of UK 1962+ 109" Series IIa FC with a few small tweaks. Various versions offered, including truck-cab pick-up, normal pick-up with three-quarter tilt, chassis cab, and a fire tender. Petrol and diesel alternatives. Suggest a block update for all 1300s as 1967+ and Origin GB, Made in Spain. |

Only a few tweaks? On this page it said to be a Santana design I modified them this morning so all have the same origin, but we can change all to UK origin if needed. Should we add "Forward Control" to all of them too? -- Last edit: 2025-01-27 13:20:56 |

I'm using my Land Rover bible ![]() as source. It's not a Santana design, although they mildly reworked it for Spanish builds. We don't have many UK 1962+ 109" Series IIa FCs for comparison, but some online refs here, here and here (which mentions Santana 1300 Forward Control near end). Adding "Forward Control" makes sense, but not a big issue. -- Last edit: 2025-01-27 15:55:04 |

I'll do the change tomorrow if there is nobody against it (and if I don't forget ![]() |
