The other way to tell a 2007+ Defender is that the flaps under the windscreen are sealed up. Obvious on a couple of thumbnails here. On the Td5 and earlier they could open. I've seen a few earlier ones with the later bonnet fitted but the vents difficult if not impossible to change. Also they fitted the dash with round vents at the same time.
