There is a little station wagon behind the van. What could that be? ![]() |

It's a (Fordson?) Thames, I'd guess a 5 cwt. It's a van conversion; the Escort/Squire's windows were rather larger. |

Also the Taunus Transit could have been produced in Amsterdam, though since 1958 imports became easier and the Amsterdam factory mostly built British models (and later Mustangs). Location is Haarlemmerplein with Haarlemmer dijk in the background. Nowadays it is, dispite one-way traffic and a parallel fast route, always a big mess in this street, but back then all the traffic from Amsterdam to the West (Haarlem) used this street. -- Last edit: 2009-11-05 15:22:08 |

@DynaMike: very interesting, how many different Ford were assembled in the Netherlands, something more, I've learned by IMCDB. ![]() But it's quite irritating, that the "world's biggest Ford-collection", as written on the homepage http://www.fordmuseum.nl/cms/pages/english.php , didn't contain any of these Dutch assembled Fords. There are even no German Fords and nearly no British Fords (not to talk about Australian made ones or Asian derivates). When I've been there, 3 or 4 years ago, there were only US-Fords to see. |
