Generaly since 1965 and seems there wasn't any major changes in design for 20 years. In 1986 replaced by L60 with different grill: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/10/IFA_L60_2.jpg |

Apart from the grille and the one-piece windscreen, the L60 doesn't look much different from the W50. W50s were pretty common in Poland in the 70s, usually towing trailers ... which unnervingly never seemed to track the towing vehicle, as if the tow-hitch was off-centre. Rather terrifying if you wanted to overtake  |
