BP? Funny. The 1982 Hino FD in the new Dawn of the Dead says bp on the sides too.

What does that stand for, it's not the gas company either so what other company has that name?

Not sure, It could be a ficticous Company, that was just made up for the movie, but I canít say for sure.

When searching for BP logos, I just discovered that BP (the petrol company, i.e. not the one of the truck above) changed his logo... 7 years ago. I did not know that, I thought that they were still using the same one [:jofission]
Well, here that brand seems to have disappeared. or is at least quite rare.

Technically they kind of are the same movie, the 2004 version of Dawn of the Dead is the remake of this one.
BP is a fictional Company (Its not real) They just reused that name, just like they reused the name "Crossroads"
for the mall (Although that was not the name of the real mall were the movie was filmed)

Yes, Neptune is correct. It was most likely done to pay homage to the original film.

They didn't use the name Crossroads Mall in the original, it was the Monroeville Mall and they never stated the name it that movie.

Actually BP is Supposed to be B&P Motor Express a Now Defunct trucking company out of Irwin ,Pa which is south of Monroeville,Pa the producers of The Remake Got it wrong by putting just BP on the truck look at the truck again you will see a "&" under neath the B on the door of the truck

B&P stood for Baltimore & Pittsburgh. The company closed its doors in 1979.
