This is a 2021 US-spec Crosstrek. The location of the XV badge doesn't seem to match its European/GCC counterpart; it was most likely added on by a previous owner. Also, the license plate holes match the ones used for US plates.

US/Canadian spec

ROW (rest of the world) spec

(some countries lack the "SUBARU" badging)

I also skimmed through the episode that this Crosstrek appears in, and noticed that the driver-side headlight has an orange reflector (required by regulations), which further supports my assumption that this is a US spec Crosstrek. The passenger side headlight is from a ROW spec.

I'm going on a hunch and assuming that this Crosstrek was previously declared a total loss in the US, sold at an insurance auction, and exported to Israel or Hungary (where the show was filmed), where it was repaired with local Subaru parts.

Only the scenes set in Belgium were filmed in Hungary.

It turns out that this is a Canadian market Crosstrek, and not a previously crashed car from the US. Samelet is the official importer of Subaru vehicles in Israel, and I've been told that Israeli vehicle importers will sometimes source North American-spec vehicles due to financial or logistical costs.

I found an example on Facebook Marketplace, ran the license plate, and got the VIN (JF2GTAMC8K8204762). When I checked the VIN on carfax.ca, I was able to confirm that this was indeed a Canadian-market car.

To make sure, I checked the VIN of a different listing (JF2GTAECXKH208987), and it came back as a 2019 Crosstrek Sport on carfax.ca.

If you browse the Israeli Facebook Marketplace listings, you can also find plenty of XVs that are otherwise identical to European/GCC spec.
