Current Car(s):
2017 Subaru Crosstrek 2.0i Premium [GP]
[Image: img_1614.jpg]
This Crosstrek served as my first car, which I still drive to this day. It was purchased new off the dealership lot by my parents in March 2017. At the time, I was a sophomore in high school.

Before I got my license, I drove this car under a learner's permit with one of my parents in the passenger seat. After I got my license in September 2017, I began driving to school by myself in January 2018. After graduating from high school in 2019, I continued using the car to commute between community college and home. Then, in 2020, COVID happened, and the car mostly sat in the garage and wasn't being driven as much.

In 2022, after transferring to an online university, I discovered autocross events organized by my local SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) region, and decided to give it a try. I began gradually modifying the Crosstrek to participate in these events and build up my seat time. I autocrossed the car until 2024, after which I decided to take a temporary break to refocus on myself, while the Crosstrek returned to being a daily driver, retaining its modifications.

Future Car(s)
2016 Subaru BRZ [ZC6]
My eventual plan is to find a used first-generation BRZ to continue my autocross endeavors and retain the Crosstrek as a daily driver. My preference would be a 2016 model, which is the final model year of the pre-facelift BRZ. It is the only year of the pre-facelift BRZ that comes with a standard backup camera; since I plan to keep the car for the long term, this is a nice feature to have. An optional necessity would be foglights (standard on the Limited trim but can be added to the Premium trim), which can be useful when driving at night. 2016 is also the final model year of the FR-S/BRZ that is eligible for SCCA's Solo Spec Coupe class.
