They certainly are Chevrolets, but I don't think they're CUCV's. |

If this is one: /vehicle.php?id=178143 ...then why isn't the one above a CUCV? |

Just looking at another site, there are some images of a CUCV that shows the side reflectors are mounted horizontally. Also, true military vehicles will have Black-Out lamp assemblages. I don't remember where, but it looks like they are in the bumper on the front. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/images/TannehillBlazer.jpg Site: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/CUCV%20Blazer%20Gallery.htm -- Last edit: 2008-06-07 22:59:53 |

The military versions had front pushbars. Also, I'm not 100% sure about this, but the grill would indicate this is a 70's model. I don't believe they used Chevy's until the 80's as they used Dodges before then. But don't hold me to that, i based it mostly on the missing pushbar. |

Since Stargate: Atlantis is filmed in Vancouver, this might well be an old Canadian Forces truck. |

as far as i known, it`s might be a Canadian 1-ton SMP Truck (SMP = standard military patern) Camouflage patern is Canadian ( slight difference between American camouflage patern) Also the vinyl kaki tarp on bed of the box is specific to canadian military truck. |

Wouldn’t the model origin still be USA? |

Should be listed as USA being model origin, made for CDN. |
