Not a sport coupé (2 door hardtop) for the sloping rear post ? The sports sedan. if I remember well was used by Pontiac to mean the 2 door pillared sedan in that era. This looks to me a hardtop coupé. I see that the front door looks like having a post but they coud be the cloded window (starnge in such a demolition derby) I am a bit puzzled. What do you think, Lateef ? -- Last edit: 2023-02-19 11:21:23 |

Could be part of the roll cage I guess. I couldn't decide but we'll roll with Sports Coupe I guess. BTW this is not a demolition derby, but a figure 8 race. |

Never heard about a figure 8 race. Is it so different by a demolition derby ? They apparenty destroy all thers anyway but the purpose is to run faster and to arrive first at a certain point ? In demolition derby you win if your var is the last one who is in degree to move. Is this the difference ? |

In a figure 8 race the track is laid in the shape of a figure 8 (hence the name) and it's a race where you complete laps, while also running the obvious risk of ramming or getting rammed by other racers crossing into your path. A demolition derby is just pure destruction, last man standing, where your victory is dependant on your survival alone, and not winning a race. |
