I would have to agree with that. 1992+

I'm going to have to disagree. The rear seats/seatbelts don't match:

But it certainly does look Ford-ish.

Whatever American car that back seat/c-pillar is from, It cant be before the '90 model year. Very few or none of American cars had rear shoulder belts before the '90 model year.

Man, this pic is driving me crazy! I agree it's a FoMoCo product but I just can't place it.

Here's a pic of a 1992 Crown Vic. I know the roofline is different but the seat design look similar.

I'll agree with that then. 1992-1993 Ford Crown Victoria.

Trouble is, the Crown Victoria "quarter windows" aren't present. I believe it's a Mercury Grand Marquis.

I thought about that too, but I think that the guy's head is just blocking it. The position of the seatbelt and the housing are certainly similar. Besides, look at the picture of the 1992 Grand Marquis that I provided, it doesn't match up. The rear sets or the seatbelt...

My parents had a 1992 Crown Vic when I was growing up, and I spent a lot of time in the back seat of it: The quarter windows should be visible from this angle.

I vote Grand Marquis LS model

Ford_Guy US

2008-04-08 07:45

Ok, so let's say it is a Grand Marquis. What about the seats? Or were they different from trim to trim?

car nerd US

2008-04-08 07:49

ford guy, perhaps the pic you provided was from the "GS" trim?

Ford_Guy US

2008-04-08 07:55

Yes indeed, it came from a GS model. So I guess that both trims had different rear seats?

That would be my guess.

All I have to say is, this is not a 1992-1997 Crown Vic, 100% sure. The rear quarter windows would be much bigger than what that's guy's head could cover up.
