I think that this is probably based upon a Commer N series van chassis from the late 1930s onwards.. |

Later I think...probably based on the 1942 Commer Superpoise Q25 Forward Control (introduced September 1941 for essential civilian use in wartime) until late 1940s or by 1951 at the latest. If it was filmed around Windermere in the Lake District it could be the same Lancashire county ambulance. |
