The white one in the last caption is a Mini 1100 Special, recognizable with its vinyl roof, built in Seneffe (Belgium) for the French market, very trendy in Paris in the end of the 1970s. |

The one in the caption #2 is a low specs recognizable by its wheels with little hubcaps, probably a 850. |

The marroon on the cover caption seems equiped with Rostyle wheels... Could be a 1000 with high end trim, but not a sporty Cooper or an Innocenti. |

Main looks to me like Innocenti Cooper 1300 for the wheels; the only other Mini with same as standard was (Clubman) 1275 GT, which was popular in F but should have sill tapes. Mirror looks rectangular which is OK for Innocenti or UK build from about 76. Agree thumbs 1&2 look like UK build 850 with 77+ black grille, and thumb 3 as 1100 Special from Belgium - all 1100 Specials for everywhere were Seneffe builds as they were never made in UK. |

I have the impression it has got the smaller UK tail lights, and in this case it is not an Innocenti... even though I have the very same impression about the rest of the car. At the time Minis in the old classic shape were nuilt in Italy, outer mirrors were for export only, so I cannot recall them. They had to be fitted here since December 1976 onwards. -- Last edit: 2022-01-04 18:46:04 |
