Police is spelled ''Polis'' which is incorrect.

Are you really that dense? This is a Swedish movie, therefore a Swedish Police car, therefore a Swedish word...

This is just priceless! Would tom11 also consider Polizei to be spelled incorrectly too?

God knows what he would think of the Gendarmerie.

Not incorrectly, but irritating ... /vehicle_220091-Toyota-Land-Cruiser-J40-1976.html ...

Maybe some dirty activities from Asia? But tom11 is very obviously way too young for those associations.

How about: Poliisi, Polícia, Poliție, Policie, Politi, Policija, Polizia, Politie and my favorite Полиция :D

And the T.O.E. from Santa Fe, my province?

Around here they aren't even consistent: one side of the cars has "police", other side has "politie" :D

Andre Malraux wrote By the way, I found out, recently, Peugeot 404 was police car in Germany:

That's interesting!

Peugeots als police-cars are still in use in Germany, but only in the country Saarland (which belonged until 1957 to France).

A nice and quite comprising collection of pics yu will find at www.polizeiautos.de

Found by just a short overlook:
http://www.polizeiautos.de/show_one.php?id=4176 (only one, used for the dog-transport=
http://www.polizeiautos.de/show_one.php?id=590
http://www.polizeiautos.de/show_one.php?id=592
http://www.polizeiautos.de/index_db.php?bereich=fustw-saar-peugeot
Prisoner's trtansporter: http://www.polizeiautos.de/index_db.php?bereich=gefkw-saar
For the exposure of traffic accidents: http://www.polizeiautos.de/index_db.php?bereich=vu-saar
Before selling for the civil usage: http://www.polizeiautos.de/show_one.php?id=4333 (sorry, blue lights and letterings will always be removed ;) )

Sorry, but there is no chapter for classic police-cars in the Saarland. The 305 is the oldest, I can find there. But all the successors, 504, 404, 403, IIRC also 203 were used there, too. Maybe they had Peugeots there even before WWII.

P.S. More German police-Peugeots maybe are to find in the "Tatort"-episodes (/movies.php?title=Tatort+-+ ), filmed in the Saarland. But it seems, that not all are listed here http://www.tatort-fundus.de/web/ermittler/sender/sr/schaefermann.html , http://www.tatort-fundus.de/web/ermittler/sender/sr/palu.html , http://www.tatort-fundus.de/web/ermittler/sender/sr/liersdahl.html and the actual http://www.tatort-fundus.de/web/ermittler/sender/sr/kappl-deininger.html
Hrrmmpphh ;/ Just the 304 and 404 are missing here: /movie_242935-Tatort-Das-fehlende-Gewicht.html Very likely, that they were used by the cops, 204 and 304 were common there, too.

To be fair, I'd probably think Polizei was misspelt if I saw an Estonian police car...
